DECISION GUIDE

Choose the company you can still reach after launch.

Most website regret is not about design. It is about disappearing vendors, locked code and surprise bills. TechSetup works with clients across India, and this is the checklist we wish every buyer used, whoever they hire.

01

GREEN FLAGS

Signs of a company worth hiring.

Serious vendors answer boring questions well: ownership, timelines, support and what happens when things break. Look for process, not promises.

  • You own the domain, code and accounts from day one
  • A written scope with milestones, not a single lump sum
  • Post-launch support terms in the proposal itself
  • Real past work you can open and click through

02

RED FLAGS

When to walk away.

Guaranteed rankings, full payment upfront, no maintenance path and vague timelines are the classic four. Any one of them is enough to keep looking.

  • Guaranteed number-one rankings
  • 100% payment before any work is shown
  • No answer on who fixes bugs after launch
  • No live work to inspect, only screenshots

CLEAR ANSWERS

Common questions, answered directly.

Should I hire local or remote?

Hire for communication, not geography. Local helps for shoots and meetings; remote works when reporting is disciplined. Either way, insist on a shared tracker and weekly demos.

What should a proposal contain?

Scope in plain words, milestones with dates, what is excluded, payment schedule tied to delivery, ownership terms, and support terms after launch. A proposal missing any of these is a quote, not a plan.

Who owns the website when it is done?

You should. Domain, hosting account, code and content, with admin access handed over at launch. Get this in writing before paying anything.
